A knitted dress is an excellent choice for the mornings when you think there’s nothing to wear. One garment, to which you only need to match the desired extras: a jacket, a vest, a woollen coat, light sandals, long boots or maybe just grab a handbag and get on your way to “change the world”. This minimalist knitted dress is always a great pick – for work, leisure and special occasions. Such details as a looser oversized silhouette, classic raglan seams and longer puff sleeves are the highlights that give this minimalist model even more charm. The perfect blend of merino, cashmere wools and viscose is skin-friendly, warm, but breathable and prevents overheating. Therefore, this dress could be worn for both warm and cold seasons.
All k.N.itty sweaters and dresses have a loose oversized silhouette, making them suitable for women wearing both XS and XL sizes (EU 34-44). To help you find your way around, here are the body measurements of the models shown in the photos:
Younger model (me): chest 85 cm, waist 66 cm, hips 92 cm, height 162 cm. Usually wears XS - S (EU 34-36).
Older model (my mother): chest 104 cm, waist 90 cm, hips 103 cm, height 164 cm. Usually wears size L-XL (EU 42-44).
Knitwear made from natural wool delights us with its comfort and warmth, but also requires precise care.
Unlike other textile fibres, wool can refresh itself simply by hanging in the fresh air. If your knitwear is foul- smelling, just take it out to the patio or balcony (ideally if the weather is cooler and moist) and leave overnight. Odours will evaporate and the knitwear will be pleasant to wear again.
Stained knitwear should be hand- washed in cool water. It is best to use special wool detergents, you could find them in any supermarket. Soak the knitwear for half an hour (do not rub) and squeeze out the excess water with a towel. Lay the knits on a dry towel and let them dry horizontally. Do not hang until dry.
Knitwear should not be ventilated or dried in direct sunlight, as its colour may fade. Do not tumble dry because wool stretches easily.
Sometimes woollen products (cashmere much less often) tend to pill, but this is a natural feature of this fibre. You can easily remove the pilling with a special wool comb. Usually, you do not even need to repeat this process a second time!
