MY STUDIO

“Oh, let’s not judge a book by its cover!” That’s what I say to those who ask, surprised, “Where? In the garage?”

Yes, my studio is in the former customs warehouses, surrounded by car services and garages. But inside, you’ll find a very cozy corner that has become my second home. As my house filled up with yarn, knitting tools, and finished knits, I realized I needed more space. My husband, a bit unsure at first, offered me a spot in his workshop. After thinking it over, I agreed. A lot has changed since the days when old tires were stored in this 60-square-meter room. Every year, I add a new piece of furniture or what I call an “art installation.” If I can’t think of anything new, I simply rearrange the wardrobes or buy fresh flowers. In September, when children are excited for the new school year, I look forward to my refreshed studio. For me, the new year starts in September, with the beginning of knitting season.

It’s no secret that people rarely thank their loved ones, especially in public. But everything you see in my studio was made by my husband Andrius. I’m truly proud of him and grateful to have this space to create, work, and even take a break from household worries. My studio is where I store knitwear, pack orders, and meet anyone who wants to see and touch my knits in person. It’s always cozy and welcoming. Will you stop by?
